We are firm believers in putting children and young people first, and as such, our direct work interventions are somewhat unconventional.
Children and young people engage and communicate the best when they are participating in activities that they take the lead on and enjoy.
Some of our direct work intervention sessions have included going to the music studio, visiting museums, taking a ride on the London Eye and enjoying the waxworks at Madame Tussauds.

Comprehensive, independent and unbiased reports by our team of Qualified Social Workers.
We provide a holistic approach to assessing and put forward realistic recommendations in the best interest of the child/ren or young person.
These recommendations include but are not limited to contact and living arrangements, identifying further support, safety planning, and safe transitions.
Our Social Workers, Youth Workers and YOS Officers are available to undertake independent visits on behalf of Local Authorities, Youth Offending Services and Independent Fostering Agencies.
These visits can be done after hours and on weekends, subject to positive risk assessments being completed.

We can attend police custody suites and act as Appropriate Adults for young people as and when required.

A series of sessions aimed at preparing students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, to undertake
their first placement within the Local Authority.
The aim and objective are to enable them to have some advance knowledge of how Social Work works within the Local Authority, and to be able to reconcile what they have learnt academically to the expected and actual realities of practising within a work setting.
The sessions were developed after numerous discussions and conversations with students before, during and after
their first placement within the Local Authority.
Most of them felt unprepared for placement and put that down to them not having any advance knowledge of the inner workings CYPS and the various
teams that make up the whole. Some were not aware of the different teams and their functions and had no idea about the child’s journey from referral to ending, including transfers and escalation.
The common theme among these students was that they would have liked to have some advance knowledge of what to expect so that they could be better prepared.
Limitation: This series focuses on systems within CYPS so those students that are interested in working in Adult Social Care may not find it as helpful.
Let's empower the next generation to embrace being proud of their name. Your name is more than just a label, it's a reflection of your unique brand and values. Don't shy away from it- let your name be your affirmation. After all, it's the most precious thing you'll ever own. #identity #empowerment #branding
