Debonico Aleski Brandy-Williams hails from the British Virgin Islands, but spent his formative years growing up in the beautiful Caribbean Island of Saint Christopher and Nevis, more commonly known as Saint Kitts and Nevis. He is the third of six siblings from a single parent household.
Debonico, or Aleski as he is more widely known by, is quite vocal and unapologetic on social issues that he is passionate about, and is not afraid to use his voice, verbal or written, to stand up and fight for and stand up for what is right and for what is fair.
Aleski holds a BSc in Criminology and Youth Studies from London Metropolitan University, and a MA in Social Work from Middlesex University in London, United Kingdom. He has a passion and a drive to help young people, especially young black boys / men, achieve their full potential, and considers himself an advocate of finding new, innovative and unconventional ways to engage and communicate with young people.
Aleski is also interested in how young people use trust as a sacred commodity, and to this extent, he has developed and is doing further research on a concept he has conceived called the Paradigms of Youth Trust.
One of Aleski's main aims is to encourage more young black men to carve out a career in Social Work so that they can be a catalyst for change and make a positive difference in the lives of young people and their families.
Aleski enjoys reading, writing short stories and spoken word, in addition to developing LifeSkills and Development sessions for young people. He has delivered such sessions for and on behalf of Charlton Athletics Community Trust and Newham Youth Offending Service, and have delivered mentoring sessions for and on behalf of Brent Social Services. Aleski also continues to offer mentoring and tutoring services outside of his substantive post as a Social Worker.
Aleski started his Social Work journey with the London Borough of Brent, where he also proposed, developed and was the first person to hold the role of Lead for Mentoring Young People, YOS and Youth Violence within the East Localities Teams.

Aleski has also facilitated sessions on Zoom for Social Work students and ASYEs, in addition to being a presenter/contributor to participants on Middlesex University's IPL sessions.
